Mango Industry Witnesses Huge Domestic Potential

According to the latest agricultural reports, the Chief Executive of the Mango Industry Association (AMIA) is looking forward to acting upon the intense demand for the mango fruit. Since this fruit is quite popular with the locals, there lies a great opportunity to boost the economy with the selling of it. As the experts opine, this particular industry has always been favourable because mangoes have always been in demand. Moreover, future projections predict that the demand for this fruit will continue skyrocketing in the upcoming years.

Even though there were several challenges due to the pandemic, the mango industry has performed well when compared to other fruits. Nevertheless, the hurdles did impact this domain but it was not enough to create a dent that would topple it completely. Though the pandemic spread through the fruit industry, over 8.2 million trays of this fruit was produced in the 2020-2021 season.

Hari Yellina, of Orchard Tech, states that all of the problems that are now firmly established due to the pandemic will not be dying out soon. However, with proper management, the situation, relating to the mango industry, will continue to improve and ultimately flourish. Moreover, he is also of the opinion that farm owners will now have to adapt to this new world that has been invaded by the pandemic. Since these crucial agricultural operations cannot stop, the management has to learn to work around the situation. Hence, the domestic plans need to be correctly chalked up and implemented.

Furthermore, even though there may be some hurdles relating to the supply chain that may crop up, but the shock effect that the people will face will ultimately lead to an increase in demand for the mango fruit. Since Australian mangoes are quite unique, they have to be positioned upstream according to the seasonal window. This is the reason why Hari Yellina is encouraging all of the industry members to increase their profit margins from healthy business practices.
