Start only the work that has been explained and authorised for your placement. Know the safe method, the equipment you may use, the PPE you need and who to contact if something changes.
- Do not use a machine, vehicle or tool you have not been trained and authorised to use.
- Use the controls and PPE required for the task. Tell Orchard Tech if PPE is missing, damaged or does not fit; the published policy says required PPE is supplied at no cost to the worker.
- Ask for help with heavy or repetitive work. Report discomfort early.
- Do not enter a treated area or perform height work until the relevant site instructions and controls are in place.
- Report hazards, near misses and injuries promptly.
If you reasonably believe a task is unsafe, stop, move to a safe place and contact your Orchard Tech supervisor. Stay available for suitable safe work. A host direction does not override the company’s safety requirements.
